Advent Calendar Activities Part 2

I have no idea why it's so hard to keep up on this thing. But that's the way it is. Here are more pictures of our countdown to Christmas.

Dec 8: Make paper snowflakes. As shown in my previous post, we don't just do paper snowflakes. We love making these!!!

 

December 9: Write a letter to Santa. He did such a good job with this, and also had to draw a picture of what he wanted, just to make sure. And he made me laugh every time I asked him what he wanted for Christmas. All he ever wanted was a nativity set that he could paint (he saw it at the store once) and an M&M Candy Cane. Silly kid.

December 10: Go to an FM100 concert. When my parents were hear they'd go to every concert, which was every Tuesday and Thursday between Thanksgiving and Christmas. They'd go almost 2 hours early and when I wanted to go I'd have a good seat waiting for me. This was also while I worked so Logan was always there too. And he loved them. So I try to make sure that I go to at least one every year. We were joined with most of the family. Good music and family....always makes for a good time!

 Logan really misses being with the Lombardi boys.

 And then we had to go find Santa's special mailbox so we could send his letter!

11. Read Christmas books
12. Go on a Christmas boat ride. And yes, this boat ride was during those few weeks of frigid weather. We were pretty cold, but we still managed to have a good time. And we went with our awesome friends. Thanks Cates!!!

 Santa came to visit!

 Provo River.....frozen over. Like I said. It was cold!

13. Elf Yourself! I uploaded our pictures and then we watched our pretty amazing dance moves. It's seriously so funny!!! And Logan loved it. And yes, these pictures are kind of pointless. But whatever.

14: See Santa! I was hoping this would go better than it did. And I really wish that I wasn't in this picture, but it's the only way Logan would get any where near the old man. :) He was a great Santa, too. And how cute is Lydia in this? Finally something she could participate in!

15. Make a gingerbread house. We love doing this. It's so fun. And I can't say how grateful I am for the kits. I realize it doesn't leave a whole lot of room for creativity, but it makes it so much easier (and I don't like gingerbread, so I don't want to spend my precious time (ha!) making it.)

 

16. Go to the dancing Christmas lights house. There's a really good one of these in Murray or there abouts. But now that we live in Eagle Mountain, no way were we going to drive all the way down there. Luckily, I found one in Saratoga Springs. It wasn't quite as good, but it was still cool. And of course, Logan loved it. That's why we do these things!
