How am I already writing this?! The year has
flown by, mostly because of some big and wonderful changes that have happened
to us.
Jeremy has had a good year which seems to be
highlighted by his participation in relays. He ran in the Ragnar Relay twice,
once in the Wasatch Back in Utah and once in Las Vegas. He was pretty
proud to come home from Vegas with 2 medals. When you do both those races you
get an extra “Saints and Sinners” medal. Cameo tried hard not be jealous! He
also ran in the Red Rock Relay in Park
City. He was able to play
soccer again, this year with fellow coworkers in a corporate league. They made
it all the way to the championship game, which was lost in a very tense battle.
Jeremy had to play goalie the majority of the season, and hopes to be able get
more chances to get more balls INTO the net next year.
Cameo spent the majority of the year working
hard to stay healthy and at the same time getting bigger and bigger. And
bigger. After about 9 months of that,
she and Jeremy welcomed a beautiful little baby girl into their home and
hearts. Lydia Ann was born July 30, weighing in at 7 pounds, 7 ounces and 19
inches. Anything else was kind of overshadowed by that, but she also enjoyed doing
what exercises she could at the gym as her belly continued to get in the way, spending
time with friends, monthly Girl’s Nights Out with her sisters, and making new friends!
Logan has grown
so much this year it’s CRAZY. He has no baby left in him. He LOVES playing with
other kids and will call anybody he plays with for even a minute a friend. He’s
learning so much, especially lately, and has started reading! Short little
three and four letter words, but it’s so exciting for both of us every time he
figures out a new word. Unfortunately, we did have to take another visit to the
ER. He was having trouble breathing and got admitted to the hospital overnight.
We finally went home with an official diagnosis of asthma, which is triggered
by colds. He is a WONDERFUL big brother and loves to give Lydia kisses
and make her smile.
Lydia is not yet 5 months but has changed so much already. Her first 2
months she was an itty bitty thing who wouldn’t gain any weight, but we finally
got her to eat and is now getting way too big way too fast. She is an incredibly
happy baby and has a smile ready for anybody who makes eye contact with her.
She is a sweetheart and has made her way deep into our hearts.
The big change for our family, other than
sweet Lydia, was that we
moved back to Eagle Mountain after living in the basement of Cameo’s
brother’s house in South Jordan. We cannot
even begin to try to express our gratitude to them for letting us take over a
part of their home for so long. It was a huge blessing that we will be forever
grateful for. Thank you!!! We weren’t necessarily looking forward to the move
and being back in Eagle Mountain, but it has gone really well and we’ve
enjoyed meeting new people and having other kids for Logan to play with. Yea!!!
We are so thankful for the chance to look back
on the past year and take a minute to appreciate all the things we’ve been
blessed with, big and small. We’re thankful for all of you and wish you all a
Merry Christmas. Have a wonderful year in 2014!!!
