So, I had a birthday a few weeks ago. I love birthdays! They were always a special day in our family; with birthday banners, favorite breakfast, pizza and balloons brought to school once we were out of elementary, and our dinner and dessert of choice. And of course....presents! Even when I was out of the house and married, my mom would come on my lunch break to take me out to lunch. So, when my parents got their mission call and were told to report to the MTC on March 5, I was a little, um.....depressed. Just 2 days before my birthday? It just didn't seem fair! I know, I'm a little pathetic at times. But anyway.
My sisters (if you want to get technical, my sister and SIL) knew it was going to be hard for me, so they decided to take me out to lunch. It was just a little bit different....what with 8 kids, but it was awesome. It meant so much to me and I had so much fun. Thank you SOOOO much Trista and Cassie!!! And kids!
Somehow, this one got herself stuck. How do kids do these things?
AND THEN. I came home from lunch to these flowers sitting on my table. My mom had had her good friend bring them over. It was such a wonderful surprise.
Then Jeremy also got a babysitter and took me out to dinner and a movie. It was a good day. Thanks to all!
