2011 seemed to just fly by! We’ve had so much fun and such a great year. Here’s a little glance into our past year.
Jeremy has had quite the year with a few exciting changes. He’s needed a new job for quite some time but needed the flexibility that his job gave him. With school winding down he was able to start looking for another one and after several frustrating months he was offered a position. He LOVES his new job and the environment there, which is something we couldn’t say about his previous job. It’s been an incredible blessing in our lives. Jeremy is also a college graduate! He just finished his last class and it’s such a great feeling to know that he is DONE, and even better is that we have no student loans to pay off!!!!! They don’t have a ceremony for those graduating in December, so he will probably walk in April. Jeremy was also able to play a bit of soccer this year, golf throughout the summer, and go to St. George for a weekend of mountain biking.
Cameo’s biggest triumph this year is that she finally became a full-time mom in September! She loves being home with Logan and being able to see each of his new developments, which seem to happen daily. She’s glad to finally have the time to take Logan to the library and finding other local places to visit, like the aquarium. She participated in the Ragnar Wasatch Back Relay in June, a 192 mile relay run, which was a little bit crazy but so fun. She enjoys spending time at the gym and is working to develop a crafty/creative/DIY side, which right now is pretty much is nonexistent. She and Logan were lucky enough to be able to spend a week in California with Jeremy’s family. Jeremy had just started his new job and wasn’t able to come. He was sorely missed, but they had a great time getting to know the family better, especially Logan who was able to spend 7 straight days with his new friends!
Logan is still the lovable kid he’s always been, just a little bit bigger, a lot more vocal, and so much cuter (who would’ve thought that was possible?) He’s learned a lot of things this year. He took quite awhile to learn how to walk, long enough that we were starting to worry a little bit, but finally at 17 months he started walking. He did however make up for his late walking with his talking. Once he started talking, he picked up words so quickly and is now talking nonstop. There seems to be several new words each day. He’s a typical (almost) 2 year old and loves cars, reading, coloring, blocks, dancing, and all that fun stuff. He’s given us a few scares this year. We’ve had several days throughout the year where he’s woken up struggling to breathe. One time sent us to the InstaCare for a few hours and another to the hospital for 2 days plus a night at home on oxygen. He was a trooper through it all though and we are grateful that he is strong and healthy. His constant smile and love for his “Momma-Daddy” are such a joy and the perfect remedy for any long and hard day (except for maybe those times when he’s the cause of those days?)
It’s been a wonderful year for us. We have been incredibly blessed and are so grateful for the Lord’s continuous hand in our lives. We love celebrating this season and remembering the Savior’s birth and life. We love you all and wish you a Merry Christmas.
