My Small Boy in his Big Boy Bed

It's not just me not wanting him to grow up, if you ask Logan if he's a big boy, he says no, he's a small boy. Too bad time won't agree with us....

A few weeks ago Logan decided he wanted to take his nap on our bed. All by himself. And he didn't get down or try to come out (of course, the fact that he doesn't think he can get down by himself could've helped!) So of course to us that translated that he was ready for a toddler bad. Makes sense, right?

So Jeremy got to work making a bed. He's always telling me that he can build things and be a handy man, but I'd never had any proof. :) Well, he finally gave me some, and I think he did a great job! And of course, when Logan sees daddy making something, he has to help out!

 After the first night of sanding Jeremy was sneezing for hours. Here's his solution.

Last night, September 8 was Logan's first night in his "big boy bed." And it was a perfect first night. He went and laid down in his bed and we didn't hear a peep until 8:00 this morning. And even then he was still laying in his bed waiting for us to come in and get him. Let's hope the transition stays this clean and easy!

And this morning he of course had to get his tools out and "fix" the bed.

My little guy is growing up way too fast. But he's doing it so well! He is one of the silliest kids and makes us laugh all the time. And well, he apparently can listen and obey us, as evidenced last night by us telling him to stay in his bed. Or maybe that had to do with the fact that we told him if he got out he'd have to go back to the crib... And I'm proud of Jeremy too for making such a great bed. Of course, now that I know he can do it, his Honey Do List might grow just a tad. :)
