Arkell Admits He Lied

There was a report given yesterday that my client plead guilty to charges of having a gambling ring and ensuring that Ben Arkell would lose the half marathon to a girl. This report was false and fabricated by Mr. Arkell and his attorney Keith Burton.

The fact of the matter was that during Mr. Bell’s defense presented yesterday, the defense called upon several witnesses that received the same water as the plaintiff Mr. Arkell. The defense made a drastic move when they called Mr. Arkell's wife, Gina Arkell, to the stand to testify of the facts of the race.

Mrs. Arkell testified that she had gone and planted the Ex-lax in the Bell’s condo and that her husband Ben purposely used it and soiled himself shortly after the race. During this testimony, Mr. Arkell turned as red as a tomato and confessed that he was bitter not only because he lost to a girl , but that the last time he played Madden on his Game Cube against Jeremy Bell he was destroyed by several touchdowns.

The Court has yet to release any information on what will happen to Mr. Arkell now. Keith Burton stated after these drastic changes on Tuesday that his client was not able to be reached for comment, but shared that his client was very sorry for all the pain that he caused with his lies. However, we were able to talk to his brother-in-law Pace Lombardi who said "Ben has a hard time losing all the time. He just can’t find that winning touch that Jeremy has.”

Jeremy has called out and challenged Ben to a Madden game on his Game Cube to give him a chance to redeem himself. One of Mr. Bell’s friends Davey Bennett said of this challenge “I feel for Ben, Jeremy can’t be beat. Trust me, I have tried many times and failed.”
